Intro to Assisting: First Steps 14 years + (Internationally accredited course)

This course is designed for pupils who will be 14 years of age by 28/11/26 (pupils who will not have turned 14 by this date can take our alternative course and the link for this can be found on the information email)

A breakdown of the course content:

Observing, learning and assisting at Lane Academy classes (a minimum of once a month to be arranged at times which suit you)
Building relationships with young pupils
Understanding class leadership and event organisation
Introduction to choreography

- 10 month course – commencing Saturday 07 February 2026
- 4 x Group Trainings: 11:30-13:00hrs on 07/02/26, 18/04/26, 13/06/26 and 03/10/26
- Certification date: 11:30-13:00 on 28/11/26
All of the above trainings will take place at the meeting room at The Paradise Centre, Ely.
- Learn whilst participating/assisting in weekly classes

- 24 CPD Points
- Workbook and Future Dance Teachers Tee-Shirt

This course is an internationally accredited course and will earn pupils 25 CPD points. Much of the course content is learning 'how to lead' and so is useful for pupils who have an interest in teaching or sports coaching of any kind. This accreditation would be an excellent addition to their future CV.

The fee for the course and certification is £250.00 and this can either be paid by monthly Standing Order (£25.00 per month for 10 months commencing 06/04/26) or in full when booking if you prefer.
